Kathan is a master’s student at Saarland University. She is pursuing her interest in bioinformatics to contribute to improving healthcare for society. She is a student assistant at DFKI as part of the curATime project. From using the bioinformatic tools, she wants to now develop them. Previously, she has interned at a company that provided software solutions for biochemical problems and she worked as a research assistant in the area of Drug Design and Artificial Intelligence. Kathan’s interests and experience also lay in writing poetry and articles, occasional bursts of sketching, dancing and escaping the world through reading.
