Mohammed is a computer engineer, data scientist and AI researcher. He is currently a research assistant at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). He graduated from Cairo University with a BSc in Computer Engineering in 2023. His research interests include natural language processing, deep/machine learning in general. Following graduation, he joined an Egyptian startup named Compumacy as a research intern and worked on testing the feasibility of using LLM models tailored to the psychiatric domain. In this project, he analyzed relevant literature and designed experiments to test the models. Mohammed enjoys teaching machines to solve real-world problems and finds inspiration in Descartes’ famous quote, “Cogito, ergo sum” (I think, therefore I am).
