Sergey is a postdoctoral researcher in computer science at the University of Kaiserslautern and the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). Previously, he was a Ph.D. student at the Helmholtz Einstein International Berlin Research School in Data Science (HEIBRiDS), working as a research associate in the Database Systems and Information Management Group (DIMA, TU Berlin) under the co-supervision of Prof. Volker Markl (TU Berlin), Prof. Uwe Ohler (MDC), Prof. Zoi Kaoudi (IT University of Copenhagen), and Prof. Sebastian Schelter (University of Amsterdam).

Sergey is focusing his research on intelligent discovery assistants for the design of data science pipelines, reproducibility of data-oriented experiments, and end-to-end management of data science processes.

Prior to the graduate studies, Sergey obtained a Masters degree in Data Science from the University of Skövde, Sweden, working on several interdisciplinary projects that bridged data science and domain expertise in social robotics, production line optimization, text analysis, and others.
